Power- Matthew Kimber

Bert stared angrily at the group of bullies terrorising a year 3, but later that day, they would be taught a lesson.  By him.
At lunchtime, Bert picked up his secret: a golden gauntlet, bestowed with the power of lightning, able to destroy anything.  Anything.
He strode confidently up to the bullies, with one hand behind my back, shielding the gauntlet from their sight.
" You want  a fight? Or do you want to give me something," one of the bullies asked, turning to face him.
"I choose the second option," He laughed as he had revenge.  Revenge by lightning.

  1. Hi Matthew,
Thank you for taking the time to do this week's 100 Word Challenge. I enjoyed reading your work. I love when the 100 Word Challenge is used to highlight an issue or problem in society and BULLYING is most definitely a worldwide problem. This is a well written piece and I'm glad you stood up for the Year 3 victims. I'm wondering what's going to happen next? Revenge by lightning?

I look forward to reading more of your adventures.
    Keep up the great work!

  2. Well done Matthew. This is a great story and one with a real message. you could make it even better if you read through it to yourself. You will see that you have introduced tyourself into the stoy rather than Bert.
I'm going to pop this on the showcase for Week#4
    Well done again!

    Note for teacher:
Only put christian names on posts. It's one way of keeping pupils safer. Also, some commenters won't have any of the options available on the dropdown menu to leave a comment. Could you add Name / Anonymous then all can leave a comment.
    Thank you!
