I guess not everything is as it seems! - Anna Morrison

"Bla ,bla" moaned Miss Calen. Her lessons were so boring, any way that's what I thought but later that day I was thinking differently...
It all happened at lunch time when I swore I saw Miss Calen drinking her drink through her fingers. My stomach leotard my tray crashed to the ground with a thud. My heart skipped a beat.
"Eleanor, what are you DOING!" Miss Calen screamed and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up.
     " I thought you were a witch I stammered,"
     " I certainly am not"
     " but the glass"
She went bright red. She is hiding something...

The crash - James Johnson

The cycle to my house was ten miles from home . It was along distance but l loved cycling. The road was long and winding, and in some places it was hilly. My bike was a Carrera black and green mountain bike, it was fast and streamlined. But little did I know, later that day I would be in for a fateful disaster. Time had passed and now l was on a faster, straighter road. A vibrate in my pocket tickled my stomach, someone was phoning me. Suddenly! Out of nowhere a Lordy rattled down the road.
   "Argh!"

    Crash...

Power- Matthew Kimber

Bert stared angrily at the group of bullies terrorising a year 3, but later that day, they would be taught a lesson.  By him.
At lunchtime, Bert picked up his secret: a golden gauntlet, bestowed with the power of lightning, able to destroy anything.  Anything.
He strode confidently up to the bullies, with one hand behind my back, shielding the gauntlet from their sight.
" You want  a fight? Or do you want to give me something," one of the bullies asked, turning to face him.
"I choose the second option," He laughed as he had revenge.  Revenge by lightning.

...But later that day...- Marcus

...But later that day...
I walked to town with my friends.
"Hey where we going" I asked
No reply. So I asked again.
"Hey where we going"
There was still no reply.
"Answer me" I yelled.
All of my friends seemed different. They all slowly turned around. My teeth were shaking like rattle snakes. All my blood in my body rushed into my head like a slimy snake. I was scared very scared.
I ran into a shop hoping they wouldn't find me. Foot steps banged at the door. I was a goner, screams filled the atmosphere. But later that day my friend were gone.

The Deep Dark Well Hero -Flo Clines 100wc

I peered down into the deep dark well. Noises  echoed up to my ears. Drip, drip, drip !
suddenly I tripped, but a young little boy snatched my trembling hand. The boy had blue eyes with a shade of green. his hair was brown and bushy.
" Thank you very much," I panted enthusiastically
" What's your name?" He asked
" Elly," I replied breathlessly. I continued " What's yours?"
" Ben,"
But later that day I thought what would have happened if I fell in the deep well.  Would someone have rescued me? Would I just stay there until I clamber up to the fresh air...

Henry White

The man lay on the unstable wonky warehouse roof. He darted his eyes to a man carrying a crate. He peered through his rifles scope. Bang!...The man was dead.

Later that day police cars echoed their noise all over the place. The man still lay as stiff as a log on the ground and blood gushed out of his four head like rapids. The killer was no where to be seen. Where could he have gone? There wasn't even any foot steps and the ground was four inch thick in mud. This was strange. Where was he? He must have flown away.

But Later that day - Adam

Jack did not know that later that day he would have the time of his life.
Jack opened the chest. Voosh!  The lid shot open and unleashed a swirly vortex of colours that looked like a portal. The portal was an explosion of colour, mostly shades of blue. Like the Sea.  It was hypnotising and confusing like an optical illusion.  It seemed to be whispering to Jack.
"Step in... Step in..." Jack was in a trance, he leapt into the portal. The chest shut with a bang behind him.  Where was he now?

...Later that day... - Sam

Later that day I was walking down the street and I saw a very suspicious man.  It was not sunny outside and he was wearing woolly gloves, it was the most strangest thing I'd ever seen.  I thought. Who was he ?  What was he doing?  I said to myself maybe he came from a cold country.  He still worried me.

I didn't know what he was doing until he bumped into someone on purpose. He had something in his hand. I ran over.  "What are you doing" I exclaimed.  He shrugged me of him.  "Nothing what are you doing" he replied angrily.  I saw a wallet, in his hand

Mia ...later that day...

I would never have known how a much a simple email could've changed my life.
One warm bright spring day, I got up and made my breakfast as I usually would do.  However I never suspected that something truly life changing would occur that day.  As usual I checked my phone to see that an email had arrived, from the National Lottery.  Excitement bubbled through me, could I have won anything?  Surely not.  There was still the faintest glimmer of hope.  I opened up the email.  The words took a while to run through my mind.
I had won!  The  thirty three million pounds was mine !...

War is over - By Florence Jenkins

Lily woke up and looked out of the window.  She ran straight downstairs and outside.  A parade was going down the street and people were cheering, laughing and hugging each other.  "War is over!", they shouted.  Lily didn't care.  All she wanted was her dad.  But later that day she did care.  When Lily was helping her mum feed the chickens the saw a man coming towards them from over the hill.  He was tall with messy hair, he had a sling wrapped around his left arm and his uniform was dirty.  As he came closer Lily saw the glint in his blue eyes.  The biggest smile crept across her face.  "Dad!".

The blizzard -- Lucia

As I walked down the snowy street it was like walking in a land  full of silver.  The sun bounced across the snow causing a silvery glow.  "Come on Patch"  I exclaimed to my  small black and white dog as we started to run " there's a blizzard coming!"  The wind, then started howling.  Giant flakes of snow toppled on top of us.
When I got back home I looked behind me.  Patch was gone.  Elbowing the door it didn't open.  I sat down my eyes blurred with tears.
Later that day as I pearled out of the window I saw patch running like mad through the dancing snowflakes, towards the door.

He's a thief! - Jack Hyde

The man strode briskly towards his house. On the outside he was caring, on the inside he was guilty. And evil ! His mansion was queer and gloomy for the owner rarely  appeared.
Later that day, the man was in a stolen car driving away from the police. Round the corner.  Straight through the roundabout at full pelt. The police were lagging. He got away treble the speed limit towards his disguised house.  Clambering out of the car, the car disappeared into an underground parking lot.  The thief opened the door.  A bulky police man stood in the doorway.

Nepal - Flora Parry

I was sat, sat having breakfast when, clang ! Clash ! I darted out of the room into the kitchen. Clang ! Clash ! Bang ! Pots, pans and plates smashed to the ground. Rumble, rumble, rumble ! The ground shook more violently as it continued on. The side of my house began to crumble. The sweltering heat blew in. I now realised.
     " Earthquake!" I ran outside.
Later that day the whole house had come down, it was in bits, well and truly crumbled. I wondered what would happen to me. To my friends. To the richest. To the poorest. To everyone. To Nepal.

Boneticore - Barnaby

I was running, running quickly, so quickly it felt like I was running at the speed of light!  It was chasing me.  I thought it was too late. I carried on round a corner and hid behind a well trimmed hedge.  The hideous face popped round the corner.  It's rigid back followed.  He had spikes with poison on the top of each sticking out of his black and yellow tail, also a sting on the tip of his tail.  Boneticore had muscular arms and legs.  He sniffed then went back round the corner.  I was safe I thought but later that day I doubted it...

William Demetriou The dog show.

Zelda, my little Romanian dog, was fluffed up and washed for the local dog show.  I'd trained her for weeks, jumping through hoops and running  through doggie tunnels.  Zelda had been running through Lund the garden all morning to prepare.  Later that day, it was time for the show.  Zelda excelled in every category, (apart from waggiest tail, as she sat on it), winning rosette after rosette and even best in show!  From that day onwards, Zelda was locally famous, getting pictures taken for the local newspaper, and the dog show newsletter, with the headline, 'Unlikely Dog Show Winner, Zelda!'

Take off by James

Climbing the long winding stairs towards the mountain like rocket, many mixed emotions swelled up in my body. Beneath me was a large, hard drop. I tried not to look down but I couldn’t resist, instantly I regretted it.
Rain poured down on the cheering crowd, but they didn’t seem to mind. Their umbrellas made the sparkle with many different colours. I climbed into the rocket. Take off was immense. I took one last look at Earth. The last thing I saw was the red explosion like fire pit. The G force was even more than I had expected.
  I could hardly breath.
  “Help!”

The Strange Person by Henry White

The red rock hard mountain stood tall and strong. A lady floated from the moon on her trusty umbrella. She delicately landed on the top of the mountain. This was strange, who was she?

“Good day!” She greeted the walkers in a posh voice as they stared at her “It is rude to stare!” Then she skipped of down the dusty bumpy track. Some children giggled, what was this strange lady doing in their town? They peered down at the town, they couldn’t believe their eyes believe their eyes, she was bossing everyone about. They really needed to do something about this.

Nightmare Mountain By Mia Santos Dendy

My task was to scale up this enormous mountain, in a little valley. It would be tough, and I knew that only too well. I took my first grip on the side of the mountain and fumbled around for somewhere to put my feet. I managed to get about five metres up when I felt something slash my arm. Cautiously I rolled up my sleeve to inspect the damage, a red angry cut glared at me, blood oozed from the cut.
What could I do now? I now wished I had brought an umbrella and I could floated gracefully back down to reality. Reality…

RED, HARD, MOUNTAIN, FLOATED, UMBRELLA - Marcus

The red umbrella floated. Swaying towards the hard rock. I thought the umbrella would crash into the rocks. The red umbrella didn’t. It went over the rocky mountain. I ran after it losing my breathe. I lost sight of it.
Till then. Something sparkled in the sunlight. I thought it was my umbrella it wasn’t. It was a beautiful view of sheep, cows. MOUNTAIN LIONS! I ran for my life hoping they didn’t see me. They just growled like cats it was a magnificent view so beautiful and dangerous. I should of ran but it was too beautiful.
THE END

Climbing - Matthew Kimber

Jutting out the red hills, the mountain dominated everything around it, as intimidating as a monster. I stared at the hard rough surface wonderingly.  How was I to get to the top?
I climbed the first 10 metres with ease, but I got stuck. I knew what to afterwards, but what right now? Suddenly I noticed a single handhold nearby.  I grabbed at it; couldn’t reach.
I had to jump.
I braced myself, and leaped. Just, I grabbed it and pulled myself up, ready to carry on.
Three hours of hard work later, I reached the top of the mountain. Laughing, I took my umbrella and floated down.
“Whee!”

Sometimes relaxing doesn’t last long. - By Anna.

          “Come on, Ellie!” Amber moaned
           “I’m coming!” I yelled back.
“Quickly, dear,” my mother tried to prompt me out of my room as I was doing my boot lace. She really annoys sometimes. My mum was finding it quite difficult as my baby brother Daniel was in one arm and trying to grab my rainbow umbrella but I yanked it away. I charged down stairs.
I saw the gleaming sun reflecting on the mountains dying them an orangey red. Just as we were settled. Daniel crawled out onto the patio and tried to eat a pebble. He’s hard work. All our relaxation floated away as Daniel shoved pebble down his throat.

The Mountain by Samuel Newby.

Wandering up the foggy mountain my umbrella had holes splattered by the rain. The rain was bulleting down endlessly. Rocks floated down the river. The path was leading me to the top “I hoped,” I said nervously. As I walked up I saw a red rock with funny writing on it.
“Would this lead me to the top” I asked myself. Rocks the size of boulders rolled down at an enormous speed breaking anything in its way! I dived for cover. Bang! Something had happened but I didn’t want to look.

The One and Only by Jack Hyde

The hard, red umbrella looked massively out of place for the rest of the bustling town carried a white umbrella. A bird’s eye view would have looked like the Japanese flag. The cloudlike mountains were standing tall and proud like an elegant bar graph. There was a miniature mountain which by far was out of place. Floating upwards into the mountain like clouds Balloons floated upwards all blue except one, yellow, out of place. Up in the atmosphere, all the planets aligned apart from one out of place. Next door a music practice all perfect except one, not out of place the only one correct.

Help - By Flora Parry

“Help!” I cried as I tumbled down the red mountain. Blood poured out of my left arm. I had been hiking when a storm blew over me, the wind had thrown me over. I was grasping my umbrella, the hard handle mixed with my cold hands caused my lower arm to be utter pain. I fell further and further, I glanced down. Water, deep water. I slowly, cramped with pain and nerves pushed the trigger on my umbrella, would my plan work? Splash! I slowly floated towards the banks of the pond into the lush green reeds. I clambered out.

The Golden Tower - By Flo Clines

Looking down from the tower, I saw clouds, clouds that floated through the clear light blue, shimmering sky like umbrellas. Staring at a far distance I could finally make out the big tall figure.
Could it really be?
A red mountain stood still on a hard rocky surface. Blazing purple flowers covered the grass, making a summery scene.
“ Look at the red twinkling mountain” I exclaimed
The bright yellowy sun placed a glowing shadow of the gold tower. My view was so colourful, my mind exploded with rainbows painting a picture in my mind of the red twinkling mountain.

The Lucky Umbrella - By Lucia Schanz

The Lucky Umbrella

Then hard rocky, red mountain towered above me. “How do we get to the top?” asked Jerry who was crouched next to me.
“By using those very obvious stairs over there” I grinned, pointing out the stairs to Jerry. His face went bright red like a strawberry.
We started to climb the horrifyingly extensive staircase leading up the mountain. 155, 116, 118. Then, as I hopped onto the following step it started to disintegrate. Then it broke. I was falling. Fumbling around I grabbed my bright pink umbrella, and started to float to the ground. Looking up, I saw Jerry’s terrified face. But what was he terrified by? Me falling, or the colour of my umbrella.

Adam Nutbeem - The Mountain

I gasped in shock as I floated over the hard mountain on my red umbrella.  The view was amazing! I could hear the cry of a wolf in the distance and feel the cool breeze on my face.  The top of the mountain was coated with snow like icing on a cake.

“Wow!”  I exclaimed.  What an incredible sight!  The whole range of mountains stretched out of my sight.  This was the most incredible thing I had seen in my life.  Bang!  My eyes opened at the noise to discover.  It was just dream!

Barnaby - The Mountain

We rushed towards the top of the mountain through snow and rain, we couldn’t stop now or else we would drown! With floods making the water rise there was no chance, but there was one way, climb the mountain. All we could see was water. Also a rogue umbrella that floated across the water.

Would we survive? Would we get to the top of the mountain in time? We ran up the mountain when my friend cut his leg on a hard rock, red blood oozed out of his leg! He felt weak in his leg, he couldn’t climb anymore!

A Relaxing Day. By William Demetriou

Rays of sun shone down onto a mountain of golden sand. It was a relaxing day, and a red cocktail umbrella floated up and down in my pink lemonade.  People were trying really hard to avoid the pebbles and still get down to the deep, cyan blue sea, but almost everyone failed.  Children ran up and down the beach, carelessly knocking over sandcastles, while screaming and laughing.  People were constantly getting splashed by the spray of the sea (and their wet dogs.)  The older people were sunbathing on fold-out chairs underneath colourful parasols.  Everybody had a great time, but finally, the day ended, and the sun had set.

Florence Jenkins - Alone in an avalanche

I looked down from the mountain. The red umbrella floated past. I headed down to the murky water below. It was almost completely covered with shining ice. The umbrella was finding its own way through the hard water. Inquisitively I reached out and touched the red plastic. That’s when it all went wrong.

Suddenly I heard a terrifying rumble. The mountain shook so violently I felt like I was in a volcano whilst it was erupting. The snow tumbled down the abrupt face of the mountain. I ran, in panic as fast as my legs could carry me. “Help me!” I yelled. I was alone. Alone in an avalanche.

Jack Hyde

They worked hard through the night.  Keeping their mouths shut, trying not to get the poison in their mouths. The heat was making their sticky clothes form against their sweaty bodies.  A mysterious man clambered out of the poisonous mass. He didn't speak their language but he kept repeating a word which somehow was sounding like this 'aglobongaco'.  The workers, which were hidden, thought it was a name.  A gelatinous object fell out of his pocket.  An eyeball popped out of the object! The man started placing trinitrotoluene on the object, the object cloned itself.

Florence Jenkins

I stare at the cupcake in the window. The brown flake looks like a little train coming out of a tunnel. The smooth, creamy icing swirls over the flake making the tunnel. There are two men waving sticks. I imagined them to be telling the train to stop so it didn't go over the edge. I wish someone had done that to me. Told me to stop before I ran over the edge. I as soon as I  ran over the edge my whole life fell apart. I lost my home, my parents and my best friend. My only friend.

Barnaby Tripp

It was one ordinary day at the chocolate factory, the chocolate bars were being made with care. But suddenly the chocolate stopped pouring into their moulding trays. There was no chocolate left!

They had run out of cocoa beans to make chocolate with. Imagine all the devastated people! The company had to get some more beans. The manager of the company flew straight to the cocoa bean farm to see what was going on! A hurricane called Adam had hit the area! It had nocked all the cocoa beans of their trees and onto the floor, where then they were to be eaten by birds swooping down to have a few pecks at a time. This made the food uneatable! There was no chocolate left!

James Johnson

Two tiny, mysterious builders were climbing a cup cake. These builders were one of a kind. The cup cake was a chocolate cake with vanilla icing and on to played some marsh mellows and a flake. The two tiny builders started to climb, the cup cake was like a gigantic mountain to them. Finally, they reached the top and scrambled to the flake. The two builders' stomachs were fiercely grumbling. The flake was a the very least, four times bigger than both of them put together. Swiftly, the two tiny builders banged and banged at the flake until it crumbled . Only now they new it wasn't a good idea...

Florence Clines

The mine was cold and dark, Fred was holding a hammer to brake the little building .Billy was holding a candle to see where they are going.
"Oh we can knock it in the whole""
The hammer smashed into the rotting building, it crumbled down into the big stinky hole.Dust flew out of the hole, covering the people with dust.
"Cough cough"they choked
Billy waved the candle around to see where Fred had gone. He was no where to be seen.
"Help help" came an old voice

Fred was under the building.

Flora Parry - The Dream

Alice was sleeping, dreaming of ponies and horses. She had wanted a pony for ages, grey and white called Mojo or Lucky. Thinking of galloping along a bridle way, when something new popped into her head, it was blurred, so blurred only a brown twig  could be made out. Soon she could see some white snow, with the twig on top, next some balls of fluff or feathers appeared just sitting on the snow. A red building was now in sight snow, twig and fluff balls all on top, painters now appeared seeming to be painting the fluff balls. Alice realised. It was a cupcake.

Matthew Kimber

The two men are spies from the creators of chocolate flakes.  The company accidentally made a batch of these chocolate sundae toppings with no colour, and their job is to cover them in their special chocolate paste before they are eaten by unsuspecting children who, not noticing the slight visibility, may choke then needing the ambulance.

If they fail, the public will confuse itself because of these 'flakes with no colour'', driving the world into chaos, with rumours of a secret company.

Lucia Schanz

The room they were standing in was small, there was a bed in one corner of the room . In line with the bed was a table, on the table was a brown bag. The two men slowly opened the bag and saw what they were looking for. It was filled with thousands of ting gold coins. Grabbing the bag they jumped out of the open window. Then the alarm sounded.

Dashing through the streets the two men ran as fast as they could, the distant wails of police sirens chilling their bones. They needed to hide. Then they saw flake, it was hollow. "In there", shouted the first man and the scrambled into the hole.
